"Little Flower" Resin-Stone Statue

This unique "Little Flower" statue is by world-renowned Canadian artist Timothy P. Schmalz, whose sculptures are installed worldwide.  This miniature replica is a solid resin-stone cast in Carrara White and measures 9" high x 5" wide x 5" deep.  Timothy Schmalz is devoted to creating artwork that glorifies Christ, and he describes his sculptures as being visual prayers.  As in his original "Little Flower" sculpture, the artist depicts the teenage Carmelite nun, Saint Therese of Lisieux, also known as the "Little Flower," writing poems to the Lord.  Her words take flight as angels that rise to heaven, and the angels' wings take shape as petals to form a rose, the symbol of love, beauty and this Saint's own miracle of sending us flowers from heaven in keeping with her promise: "I will spend my heaven doing good on earth.  I will let fall a shower of roses."  Timothy personally sculpts every original small masterpiece complete with his signature or monogram, and each replica is detailed by hand to the exacting standards of this modern day sculptor.
