St. Clare Hand-painted Resin Statue
4" Figure with Italian Art Holy Card and Gift Box

This 4" tall St. Clare Resin Statue is hand-painted with gold leaf accents.  The statue comes with a Fratelli Bonella Italian Art Holy Card and an attractive window gift box containing information about the saint.  St. Clare was a founder and abbess of the Order of Poor Ladies, a monastic religious order for women in the Franciscan tradition, which eventually became the Order of Saint Clare or the Poor Clares.  St. Clare was a close friend of St. Francis of Assisi who became her spiritual guide and advisor.  St. Clare is the patron saint of eyes, television and telephone workers.  Pope Pius XII designated Clare as the patron saint of television in 1958 on the basis that when she was too ill to attend Christmas Mass in the year 1252 (which was to be her last Christmas on earth), she had been given the gift from God to be able to see it and hear it on the walls of her room.
