"Visitation" Resin-Stone Statue

This familial and sweet "Visitation" statue is by world-renowned Canadian artist Timothy P. Schmalz, whose sculptures are installed worldwide.  This miniature replica is a solid resin-stone cast in Carrara White and measures 9" high x 6.5" wide x 5" deep.  Timothy Schmalz is devoted to creating artwork that glorifies Christ, and he describes his sculptures as being visual prayers.  As in his original "Visitation" sculpture, the artist depicts the meeting of Mary and her cousin Elizabeth.  Mary was pregnant with Jesus, and Elizabeth was pregnant with John the Baptist.  The mirrored design of the sculpture accentuates the excitement and joy of this united experience reflected in both Mary and Elizabeth, whose child leapt in her womb at the greeting of Mary.  Timothy personally sculpts every original small masterpiece complete with his signature or monogram, and each replica is detailed by hand to the exacting standards of this modern day master sculptor.
