This beautiful Italian statue of St. José Sanchez Del Rio is available in heights of 36" and 60" and depicts the saint holding a palm branch and a rosary. He is also wearing a sash which reads "Nunca fue tan facil ganarse el cielo" and which translates to "It was never so easy to gain the sky", "the sky" being heaven. This amazingly life-like, full color figure is made of linden wood that is hand-carved and hand-painted with the greatest of detail by expert artisans in Italy. St. José Sanchez Del Rio was a Mexican Cristero who was put to death at the age of fourteen by government officials because he refused to renounce his Catholic faith.
